The Path of the Wild Mother
I am a woman who has walked through fire and chosen life.
At nineteen, I left my home country and moved abroad alone. I arrived with nothing prepared for me and no one to rely on. That decision broke me in many ways, but it also shaped me.
I survived traumas, betrayals, abuse, addiction, and experiences that should have destroyed me.
At twenty-four, I faced my alcohol addiction and walked away from it. I now celebrate more than a decade of sobriety.
I chose not to numb my pain or medicate it into silence. I chose the harder path: to face it, understand it, and transform it.
I worked with plant medicines and deep introspection to transform pain into awareness. My life has taken me through many countries and cultures, through solitude, ritual, and confrontation with myself. I have walked alone through the Amazon at night and walked barefoot on the Earth: in deserts, forests, beaches and mountains.
I have faced shame in my own body and transformed it. I have danced naked around fires beneath the Moon and spent long periods of time naked in nature reclaiming my body as something alive, natural, and powerful. Along the way I have helped others release their own shame and rediscover the dignity of being fully alive in their bodies.
MOTHERHOOD
I am a woman who chose sovereign birth. I brought two children into this world naturally, in a small town in Guatemala, at home, outside institutional control. That decision was made to interrupt a lineage of medical violence and reclaim birth as something powerful, human, and free.
I raise my daughters outside systems that attempt to domesticate the human spirit. I choose to let them grow wild, curious, and independent. I do not teach them to be nice. I teach them to remain authentic and powerful.
I have built my life and my work on my own terms. I have raised children through difficult circumstances, supported myself when others abandoned responsibility, and chosen integrity over convenience again and again. My life has taken me across many countries and cultures. It has asked me to make decisions against the expectations of doctors, governments, family systems, religions, and social norms.
Again and again, I chose sovereignty.
Again and again, I chose life.
